Sam Laurie studied at Central St Martins before his spirit for adventure led him to racing and operating the most advanced superyachts. His five years included a successful transatlantic record attempt, global voyage on 64-metre Adix and tactics for Panerai’s racing yacht.
Sam worked with G.L Watson in Hamburg for five years, where he project managed the restoration of the 92-metre superyacht Nahlin at Blohm and Voss Shipyard on behalf of the Owner, focusing on design and onboard technological development.
In 2012, Sam originated and developed the user experience for a video-led content marketing platform, BOYD. Designed for the superyacht industry, BOYD has forged connections with leading brands like Bentley, NetJets and Knight Frank International and has won multiple global awards including Best New Title of the Year and Best User Experience at The Webby Awards.
A multi-disciplinary creative and digital strategist, he has been responsible for the commercial strategy, identity work and creative execution for specialist brands such as Ocean Independence, Iguana and Aston Martin, leading to unprecedented growth and sales.
